The Military Product Department of SEARI was founded in 1962. Now the Dept. has 161 employees, including 92 technical engineers. The Military Product Department mainly deals with the naval & marine ships (including other military fields) electrical equipments’ developing, manufacturing, testing and standardizing. There are a lot of advanced instruments to test the products’ impingement, vibration and lurch, and the dept. has perfect conditions to test the high-low temperature, humidification, mildew, saltness, shell shield rank and electrical performance.
The Dept. has successfully manufactured the Y-H, JY-H, YZ-H, CJ920 series products. In recent years, the Dept. developed and produced more than 40 kinds of key electrical equipments independently, such as the AC moulded case circuit-breaker series, the electromagnetic transfer switch series, the main switchboard, the multi-function switchboard center, and the low-noise three-phase asynchronous motor for naval ships, the military power supply vehicle, the special generator set and so on, which contributed to the development of the electrical equipments for our naval & marine ships.
The Dept. has passed GB/T19001,GJB/Z9001-2001,GJB9001A-2001 quality management system certifications, and acquired the navy weapon equipment research and manufacture license.
The mechanical industrial marine motor and apparatus standard committee secretary office is also located at the Military Product Department.
Now the Dept. is taking an active part in the researches of marine electrical power system products, the new type circuit-breakers and the military power supply vehicles etc.
Shanghai Electrical Apparatus Research Institute Group Co. ltd. The Testing Station for Marine Electrical-technical Product is an independent and fair synthesizing test organization for naval & marine products, which has contributed to improving our navy’s battle effectiveness over a long time.
Our laboratory has a lot of test equipments for basic environmental tests, such as EVH-500D vibrator, C-2700 shock machine, digital oscilloscope workstation, power meter, SDJ/W712 high-low temperature chamber, able to meet the standards
Our laboratory passed conformity assessment (CNAL № L1145) and metrology accreditation (№ 0900) in Nov. 2003. Also, it is appointed as one of the qualificatory laboratories by CQC (№ C-009). By carrying out an investigation to our station, the certificate of agency approval (№:BJSO3920005) is issued by China Classification Society in 2004. So our laboratory goes on being one of the test organizations appointed by CCS and the navy.
